At Bowral Bees we offer the following services:
Nuc Hive / Bee Hive Sales

5 frame nuc bee hives with recently mated queens are available from mid October each year.
Delivery and/or installing the bees into your hive is available for most areas in the Southern Highlands.
Please note due to high demand for our beautiful bees we have wait list each year for nuc hives. So if you’re planning on getting bees (for example a Flow Hive set up) please contact me ASAP so you dont miss out. Nuc hives are available from mid October each year through to February.
There’s a $50 deposit to hold a place on the list and the balance due on collection or installation.
Bee Keeping Mentoring & Hive Inspections

If you’re starting out in beekeeping, I provide hands-on mentoring and professional hive inspections across the Southern Highlands, including brood health checks, pest and disease assessment, and varroa mite monitoring and treatment where required.
Hive inspections involve a detailed expert assessment of brood development, food stores, and overall colony health across brood boxes and supers. Seasonal timing is important in the Southern Highlands, and my advice will draw on local knowledge of flora and climate to make the right call for your bees.
Mentoring sessions are designed to build confidence and practical skills, whether you’re managing your first hive, learning how to deal with varroa mite, or refining your beekeeping approach over time.
Please note you are required by the DPI to register as a bee keeper and must complete a minimum of 4 inspections per year. You can register with the DPI here: https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/animals-and-livestock/bees/beekeeper-registration
